Brad + PJ - Downtown Wake Forest

Updated: Sep 20, 2019

Four o'clock in the morning. I roll out of bed. Double check my camera bag. Start the Jeep. Head out to Wake Forest. Grab Starbucks and wait for two very awesome people to arrive. The sun is peeking over the trees. A white SUV pulls in next to me. Starbucks, donuts and all smiles on this Saturday morning. Let's start our morning off right.

I met Brad and PJ just before Christmas; a few short months ago. When we met at Starbucks we talked for almost 2 hours. The conversation was so easy-going. Afterwards, we knew engagement photos were in the works and I was beyond impatient. As we were brainstorming locations in and around Raleigh Brad found Joyner park to take sunrise pictures. The trees and paths were so beautiful in the morning light. We didn't stay long before they suggested moving the session to a museum near downtown. Since the scenery wasn't much different from one side of the park to the other I followed them to the new location.

Everything in Wake Forest is so conveniently close that this was an easy yes in my mind. A gorgeous white gazebo, an old colonial home and cobblestone paths awaited us as we moved from spot to spot. I was able to see locations for their wedding in November that made me jump for joy (in my head of course).

Their ceremony would be at their home and I was invited to see the property. The iPhone pictures from the consultation did not do their home justice. I doubt my photos will either! Their split rail fence would separate guests from ceremony. Their open front porch was so inviting to sit a spell. You could tell the home was filled with love and.. fur babies!

Little man and Lady had to join our photos once they realized we were in the house. Lady was a little bit more excited than everyone else, but she sure loves her family!

We stood and talked a little bit more before I pulled off their driveway and headed home. I'm so excited to see these two in the near future!

Dear Brad & PJ,

Thank you so much for letting me take your engagement photos! My face was still hurting from all of the smiling and laughing we did during these pictures. Words can't describe how excited I am for your wedding day. Enjoy your pictures. Love you guys!
